Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
I find it refreshing and delightful to be hearing from fellow educators how blessed they are for being chosen to teach. Indeed, teaching is more than a profession, it is a vocation, a blessing, a privilege.
As a teacher, one witnesses first hand how a delicate life can be transformed into something great just by a kind affirmation and a gentle nudge every now and then. A teacher shares the journey of so many lives to create a world that is good, inspiring, and magnanimous. His words soothe wounds, not aggravate them. Sometimes, the effect of such words create a ripple effect that transforms the wounded into physicians themselves. A teacher acknowledges that his effect on his students in whatever way, is life-changing. He embraces this and sets about to sow the right values and exemplify the right action so that everyone may understand that to be the best at what one does, he must first be the best of who he is.
I have had the privilege of meeting such great teachers in my life journey. They are those who love what they do, are passionate about creating a positive difference, feel blessed by the opportunity to touch lives, and embrace the daily privilege to be the best of who they can be as they bring out the best in their students.
God truly works in miraculous ways. And many of them walk among us in the person of our teachers. This world is a better place because of them.
